WELCOME
TO EL RINCON COMMUNITY CLINIC!
We are a not-for-profit substance abuse treatment program that
has been available to the community since 1970.
Started by the church, community and gang leaders to combat the
epidemic use of heroin and violence in the West Town and Humboldt
Park communities, El Rincon Community Clinic has been an oasis of
hope for an under-served Latino Community in Chicago: the narcotic
addict. The agency has had a commitment to bringing change to a
disenfranchised community for years.
We know that addiction can create a mosaic of problems including
HIV/AIDS, prostitution, crime, poverty, child abuse and neglect
and the general decay of entire families.
As a result of El Rincon's long-standing support of and involvement
with West Town and Humboldt Park, we bring an invaluable perspective
as to the roots of addiction as well as how to deal with its personal
family health consequences.
Our Board has long-standing relationships within the community and
various members in government in order to enhance our mission to
the fullest. Our Board is reflective of the clientele that we serve
in order to enhance sensitivity on many levels.
