Mission Statement

The mission of El Rincon community clinic is to provide comprehensive substance abuse services for our clients, which will enhance the health and well-being of our families and significant others. El Rincon provides services to all, but specializes in culturally specific services for Latinos within the Chicagoland area.

We recognize that our primary purpose is to provide quality and comprehensive treatment services and resources for our community, thereby, reducing the consumption of drugs and alcohol preventing future drug dependency and drug related problems, and maximizing the full potential of our community.

Core Value Statements:

1. Building Healthy Communities El Rincon Community Clinic believes in the importance of building a healthy community. It is important for the community to have the ability to sustain itself, the families, the children, the schools and the businesses contained within it. Without this sustainability, the community would deteriorate and those within it would live a devastating existence versus a healthy, productive, empowering lifestyle.

2. Reducing the Stigma of Addiction El Rincon Community Clinic believes that the stigma associated with addiction should be reduced. Addiction affects most families from all economic structures, all races and ethnic groups. Instead of bringing attention to the needs of our clients instead of the negatives or stereotypes, we can redirect funding considerations and enhance support from many sources.

3. Providing Education to our Community El Rincon Community Clinic believes in the importance of being a resource to our Community.

4. Being advocates for our Clients and Community El Rincon Community Clinic believes in being advocates for our clients, families, schools, and churches. As advocates, El Rincon believes in being a part of the bigger community issues, which are affected or have an effect on the development of problems within the community.
