Clinical Testing

El Rincon offers a myriad of services to ensure the health and well being of our clients while in treatment. As part of our intake process we conduct several mandatory health screens and offer others as part of our service provision. Clinical testing is to ensure all clients can have a good start on their care plan.

Toxicology Testing

As a matter of course, toxicology testing is necessary for admittance into our programs and then to do follow up counseling with our clients. An integral part of our recovery program requires laboratory urine drug screens and confirmation tests for a range of drugs. We also conduct breathalyzer tests to assess alcohol use and abuse if needed.

HIV/AIDS Testing and Counseling

All clients are offered pre and post HIV counseling and testing which is provided by a specialist that is highly trained in this area. We have a full staff of certified professionals who conduct state of the art rapid HIV testing. If a client is found to be positive, a referral will be made to receive additional services.

TB Testing

The tuberculosis skin test (also known as the tuberculin test or PPD test) is a test used to determine if someone has developed an immune response to the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (TB).

All clients are required to take a TB test as part of the intake process.

We hold an in house health fair once a month which offers our clients the opportunity to be tested for HIV and ask our HIV/STD/TB coordinator any health related questions they may have. Clients are referred to our partner agencies if they are assessed to have a need we are unable to address.
