Laughter as a Cure
We thank all those who participated in our first organizational fundraiser last year!
This year, El Rincon and Mikey O Productions (www.mikeyocomedy.com) reunite to present Fajitas, Greens and All In Betweens, a comedy and theatre presentation for the whole family!
All proceeds will benefit the families and children of those who are battling substance abuse addiction in the El Rincon community. This event is sponsored by American Family Insurance, PNC Bank, Esser Hayes Insurance Group and Leal/ Associates.

Recovery Radio
In an effort to get listeners talking, past the stage of denial, introduce family members to treatment options, and help those in need work towards the road to recovery; the Illinois Department of Human Services has collaborated with WVON-1690 to launch Recovery Radio.
Recovery Radio is a 60 minute call in radio program that educates its listeners about the recovery process and supports people who are currently in recovery. The show airs every Sunday on WVON-1690 AM from 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The show features DHS staff members, experts in the field of recovery, and actual stories and testimonials.

Community Health Fair
Our annual community-wide health fair will be held just in time for the Back-to-School rush this August 13th! Please join us beginning at 10:00am for health screenings, community presentations, information on neighboring community organizations and health tips provided free to all who attend. Food and giveaways will be available throughout the day.
